Anthony
Anthony (K8ZT) visited the club to share his knowledge and enthusiasm for amateur radio. His talk gave members plenty of practical ideas to take home and try on the air, along with lots of good questions and conversation afterward.

Presentations & Get-Togethers
One of the reasons we started W8CRC was to bring members great presentations and talks from experts in their fields. Here are a few of the speakers we've had, plus the fun stuff that keeps us a club and not just a meeting.
Past presentations
Ken Dorsey
Ken Dorsey (K8OAD) brought years of on-air experience to his presentation. Members came away with new insights and tips from a ham who has been there and done that, and his talk was a big hit with the club.
Morgan Lyons
Morgan Lyons (KI5SKY), our “Rocket Girl,” took the club skyward with her presentation in February 2026. It was a fun, eye-opening look at rocketry and showed how radio, science and a sense of adventure all go hand in hand. One of our most memorable meetings!

Good food, good friends
Club Picnics
Every so often we trade the meeting room for the great outdoors. Our picnics are a laid-back chance for members and their families to get together, enjoy some food, swap stories and maybe even put a radio on the air.
Breakfasts Out
Nothing starts the day like eggs, coffee and ham radio talk. Club breakfasts are an easy, no-pressure way to meet members face to face. We get out to eat at least once a quarter, and everyone is welcome to join us.
