Ready to earn your first amateur radio license or move up to General or Extra? W8CRC volunteer examiners hold regular VE testing sessions for anyone ready to take the next step.
The three license classes
- Technician: the entry-level license, with full privileges on VHF and UHF, including local repeaters.
- General: opens up most of the HF bands for worldwide contacts.
- Amateur Extra: all amateur privileges on every band.
Technician and General exams are 35 multiple-choice questions each, drawn from a public question pool, so you can study every question before test day. No Morse code is required.
